 Mood - Unreleased 93-95 (2016)

A 2016 US archival hip-hop release from Mood, Unreleased 93–95 compiles early demo recordings made between 1993 and 1995 during the group’s formative years. Issued by Back2DaSource Records, the project showcases the raw beginnings of the Cincinnati-based crew before their official debut album Doom (1997).
Mood – Unreleased 93–95 (2016) features early production work from Hi-Tek and Jahson, built on stripped-down boom-bap foundations with dusty samples, minimal drum programming, and an unpolished underground aesthetic. The recordings preserve the raw energy of mid-90s independent hip-hop before commercial refinement.
Lyrically, Main Flow and Donte deliver early-stage performances combining battle rap elements, conscious street narratives, and experimental phrasing that later defined their mature style. The EP also includes features from associated underground collaborators connected to their early crew network.
Mood – Unreleased 93–95 (2016) stands as an important archival release documenting the earliest phase of Mood’s career and the development of Hi-Tek’s early production style.
