Doclee – L’heure Du Départ is a 1999 French hip-hop EP from Rennes artist Doclee, also known as Kee-No. The release belongs to the early period of his career, when he was active in the Breton hip-hop scene and developing his identity as an MC, songwriter and performer.Doclee began his musical career in Rennes in the early 1990s as a member of the rap group Facteur X. The group became an important part of the local scene and performed alongside artists including Ménélik, Alliance Ethnik, Raggasonic, MC Solaar, US3 and Brooklyn Funk Essentials. This experience gave Doclee a strong foundation in French hip-hop before he began developing his own solo direction.The L’heure Du Départ EP captures this transitional stage of his career. The project combines French rap with melodic and soulful elements, reflecting Doclee’s interest in expanding beyond a strictly traditional hip-hop format.
