K-Rino – No Mercy is the fourth studio album by Houston rapper K-Rino. It was released on October 12, 1999, through Electric City Records and contains 17 tracks with a total running time of approximately 70 minutes. The album was recorded at Samplified Digital and Papion Sound Studio in Houston during 1998 and 1999.The production credits include K-Rino, Eddie Thomas, J.B. Money, Black Mike, Icy Hott, and D.J. Blikzack-Smoke-N-Cough Productions. K-Rino is also credited with the lyrics, concepts, arrangements, and writing, while Julius Papion and K-Rino handled mixing and mastering.The album opens with “Drownin’ In Blood,” followed by “Trust No One,” “Shoot To Kill,” “Why Ya Wanna Hate?,” “Street Life,” and “Speak Of The Devil.” The remaining tracks include “Lord Of The Worlds,” “Square The Game Off,” “No Mercy,” “Fakers Die Young,” “Point A To Point B,” “Everlasting Life,” “Feel My Flow,” “How Do Ya Know?,” “Non-Stop,” “(Commercial Break) Awareness,” and “Hardest Clique.”The project features numerous guest appearances from artists associated with Houston’s underground rap community. Point Blank appears on “Trust No One,” while “Shoot To Kill” features DBX, Rhyme Felony, Ruff Eyque, and Se7en. “Why Ya Wanna Hate?” includes vocals from DJ Screw, and K.O. contributes to “Street Life.”“Speak Of The Devil” brings together Brain Dead, Marcus Muhd, and The Wrath, while “Square The Game Off” features Re-Lode. C-Rock and Wicked Crickett appear on “Fakers Die Young,” and “Everlasting Life” includes Chad Jones and Sammy Lee. The closing track, “Hardest Clique,” features A.C. Chill, DBX, PSK-13, Ganksta N-I-P, and Point Blank.No Mercy was the final K-Rino album released through Electric City Records before his subsequent releases appeared through Black Book International. It occupies an important position between his late-1990s work and the extensive catalog that followed in the 2000s.The album documents K-Rino’s Houston period through a large cast of collaborators and a 17-track program, making it a substantial entry in his early recording catalog.
