XP The Marxman & Rasheed Chappell – RX (2022) is a collaborative underground hip-hop album that unites Los Angeles MC XP The Marxman with New Jersey lyricist Rasheed Chappell. Released through Perfect Time Music Group, the project bridges the gap between the West Coast and East Coast, combining XP's aggressive delivery with Chappell's thoughtful storytelling over a collection of gritty, sample-driven beats. The result is a cohesive record that celebrates authentic hip-hop while avoiding modern commercial trends. The production is rooted in classic boom-bap, blending dusty soul samples, cinematic loops, hard drum breaks, and deep basslines that provide the perfect backdrop for both MCs. XP The Marxman delivers raw street narratives with relentless energy, while Rasheed Chappell counters with intricate rhyme schemes, introspective writing, and vivid storytelling. Their contrasting styles complement each other throughout the album, creating a balanced collaboration that feels natural rather than forced. Guest appearances from respected underground artists further strengthen the project without overshadowing the chemistry between the two headliners.
