Att Will – Do It Att Will is the debut and only studio album by Compton, California rapper Att Will. Released on Big City Records, the project is a strong example of early-1990s West Coast gangsta rap, combining G-Funk influences with hard street production and Att Will's direct, charismatic delivery. The production is primarily handled by Lodown, with additional work from DJ Speed and drum programming by DJ Battlecat. Deep basslines, funky grooves, programmed drums, melodic textures, and atmospheric West Coast arrangements create the foundation for Att Will's uncompromising performances. Tracks such as “Shoot 'Em Dead,” “Just Another Day In Compton,” “Wreck 'Em,” “Hoe Hopper,” “Do It Att Will,” and “Ghetto Nightmare” showcase the project's classic Compton sound. One of the album's standout tracks is “Just Another Day In Compton,” featuring additional vocals from MC Eiht. The song offers a vivid street-level perspective on everyday life in Compton, while other cuts move between hardcore gangsta rap, funk-driven grooves, and more atmospheric moments. The album also features contributions from The Junkyard Crew, Ice-K, Kronic, Buzz, Jayy Money, and Sandra “Sam” Mosley. The project has an especially interesting place in West Coast rap history because “Hoe Hopper” attracted the attention of Dr. Dre during the recording period, eventually inspiring Dre to record his own version. Att Will was also reportedly approached about opportunities with Death Row Records and Ruthless Records.Att Will – Do It Att Will remains a respected Compton gangsta-rap release, valued for its G-Funk production, heavy low end, strong collaborations, and authentic early West Coast atmosphere.
