Released through Nastymix Records, the project is an important early document of Northwest hip-hop, bringing together hardcore street rap, political themes, funk-driven production, and the raw atmosphere of Tacoma's Hilltop neighborhood.The production, largely handled by DJ Eugenius and Mark Womack, combines groovy basslines, electro-influenced synthesizers, scratching, guitar samples, and hard drum programming.
