Released through Get Low Recordz and Straight Out Tha Labb Entertainment with Priority Records distribution, the project combines West Coast hip-hop, G-Funk, gangsta rap and underground Bay Area production.
Recorded in 1994–1995, the album captures JT during an important period in the development of the Get Low sound. JT The Bigga Figga handled the majority of the production, engineering and musical direction, creating a bass-heavy West Coast sound built around funk influences, hard drums and relaxed street-oriented grooves.
