Rather than functioning as a conventional solo album, Chef D’Orchestre is structured as a collaborative showcase, with Niro acting as the central producer and curator behind the project.Niro himself came from Villejuif in the Val-de-Marne and was one half of the rap duo 2 Neg alongside Eben. Before developing his production career, he was already involved in the local hip-hop scene and had built connections with numerous French MCs. The Niroshima project became one of the outlets through which he could bring these artists together.The compilation contains 16 tracks, beginning with an introduction by DJ Ridou and ending with an outro from the same DJ. Between them are performances from a diverse group of established and emerging French rappers.
